Archeology Work at 1834 Fort Antonio Continues

April 20, 2026 by Laurel Foster

This spring professional archeologists and volunteers will continue to excavate and preserve any artifacts at the site of the 1834 fur trade post east of Kaycee. This is a very early and important historical site. Over 700 artifacts have already been preserved and donated to the museum, where they are on display.
